Riverton Beachfront Bed & Breakfast is a two-storey refurbished home built in the 1920s and located on the south end of Taramea Bay with spectacular views facing north over the water and southern plains of Southland. It is worth coming to stay with us for the sunrises alone over the Bay. Riverton is a perfect stopping point when travelling on the Southern Scenic Route and the Catlins.
Beyond sweeping lawns and gardens lies a safe swimming beach, with great surfing – and all at the front door. Enjoy walking the beach or the local tracks. Be lulled to sleep with sound of the waves and wake to a delicious cooked breakfast.
An excellent café/bar is 5 minutes walk away, and another just a short drive, both on the seashore providing fresh local fare.
